1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the BarMate application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
To use BarMate, you must:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain only one account per person
- Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
3. Account Registration
When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and update your information as needed
- Keep your password confidential and secure
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or interfere with the App
- Use the App for commercial purposes without permission
- Create fake check-ins or manipulate location data
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Scrape, collect, or harvest user data
- Use automated systems or bots to access the App
5. User Content
Ownership
You retain ownership of the content you create, including check-ins, notes, photos, and ratings ("User Content").
License Grant
By posting User Content, you grant Bar Mate Innovations LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content within the App and for promotional purposes.
Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, at our sole discretion.
6. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
7. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, code, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by Bar Mate Innovations LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
8. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services, including:
- Google Places API: For venue data and search functionality
- Apple Push Notification Service: For notifications
- Amazon Web Services: For cloud infrastructure
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.
9. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if:
- You violate these Terms
- Your account is used for illegal activities
- You engage in behavior harmful to other users or the App
- We are required to do so by law

10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Venue information (provided by Google Places) will be accurate
- The App will meet your specific requirements
- Any errors will be corrected
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BAR MATE INNOVATIONS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- Decisions you make based on App information
- Actions of other users
- Technical failures or data loss
Our total liability shall not exceed $50 USD.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bar Mate Innovations LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
